This product is a contact-type, selective post-emergence herbicide. It works by contact with the leaves during the seedling stage. When used in dry fields, it penetrates through the leaves to inhibit photosynthesis in the chloroplasts; when used in paddy fields, it can also be absorbed through the roots, spreading to the stems and leaves to obstruct the photosynthesis and water metabolism of weeds, causing physiological dysfunction and death.
It is mainly used to control dicotyledonous weeds, Cyperus in paddy fields, and other monocotyledonous weeds, making it a good herbicide for rice fields. It can also be used for weed control in dry land crops such as wheat, soybeans, cotton, and peanuts, targeting weeds like bulrush, water nut grass, duck tongue grass, woolly weed, flat-stemmed grass, barnyard grass, smartweed, amaranth, lamb's quarters, and knotgrass, among others.
It performs well on hot sunny days, and the effectiveness decreases under other conditions. The dosage is 9.8 to 30g of active ingredient per 100m2. For paddy field weeding 3 to 4 weeks after transplanting seedlings, when weeds and Cyperus have emerged and reached the 3 to 5 leaf stage, apply 20 to 30 mL of 48% liquid formulation or 45 to 60 mL of 25% aqueous formulation per 100m2, along with 4.5 kg of water, ensuring the field is drained before application. Choose a hot, windless sunny day to evenly apply the herbicide on the stems and leaves of the weeds, and irrigate again 1 to 2 days later. It can effectively control Cyperaceae weeds and broadleaf weeds. However, it is not very effective against barnyard grass.
